It’s safe to say uncertainty is an accurate description of our current reality. The challenges we’re facing in addressing the weaknesses exposed by Covid-19 are unprecedented. For sure, it takes courage to try something different. Especially when we’re tired. It seems so much easier to exploit what we know instead of exploring new strategies for the future. Ironically though, research suggests that explorers have an advantage over exploiters during tough, uncertain times. A willingness to explore can also open up incredible opportunities for individuals and organizations willing to think different. So here’s your challenge. Come explore with us the power and the potential of an approach that acknowledges our traditional systems and silo-based approaches won’t always work. Instead, we’re focused on the growing need for legitimizing and supporting multisector collaboration which brings the best of the three sectors (nonprofits, government, and business) together with citizens and stakeholders to build on one another’s strengths in order to tackle complex social, environmental, and economic well-being.
On completion of this session, participants will be better positioned to: • Advocate for multisector collaboration. • Network with others doing or funding similar work. • Understand the value of incorporating community-led development, strategic foresight, systems-thinking, and digital optimization. • Articulate priorities for themselves and their organization as an explorer willing to think different.
