What makes a good vision? 

    • Written in present tense language
    • Uses inspirational, motivating language
    • Clear and uncomplicated in its meaning
    • Includes descriptions of what makes the community unique
    • Reflects a focus on people and quality of life
    • Addresses a time period of 10 to 15 years
    • Uses language that is easily understood
    • Conveys what your community represents and its core values
    • Communicates the outcomes or benefits of being part of the community
    • Provides a sense of the future as well as the heritage of the community
