The Toolkit for Community Leaders is intended to inform, inspire and guide those who are interested in making their communities more active, creative and engaged and are serving or supporting those in a community leadership role (e.g. managers, administrators, practitioners, elected officials, volunteers, etc.)
The Toolkit is divided into two main parts. Part one consists of five sections which describe and provide a framework and examples of a generic community development approach to planning and facilitation that can be used for planning a program, event, organization, or an entire community.
Part two provides a variety of practical tools, activities and ideas organized according to the ten steps of the community development-based planning framework. As it is likely that different tools and techniques will be used at different steps depending upon the specific needs of a community or organization, the user will be able to choose from over 300 pages of ideas.
